Responsibilities

• The person working in this position is required to make sure that both management and operational aspects of the work are handled – and that issues are handled
• Understands security requirements
• Receives merchandise from vendors/suppliers and compares each item to provided lists to ensure that the right amount and type of items have been delivered
• Actively promotes an environment conducive to high-quality customer service and employee relations by being a positive leadership example
• Responsible for scheduling, payroll, disciplinary actions, training and mentoring for gas bar staff
• Responsible for daily operations of the gas bar including ordering inventory and inventory controls
• Responsible for building sales and managing expenses
• The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to complete all other related duties assigned

Requirements

• 4-5 years experience in the gas and truck stop industry
• 3-4 years demonstrated experience in management with gas, retail and truck stop
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Inventory management experience
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word
• Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing business environment
• Ability to work independently
• Must have strong leadership skills
• Must be able to work shift work
