Surveillance Operator

Responsibilities

Reporting to the surveillance director, the surveillance operator monitors the premises using electronic surveillance equipment and will report suspicious activities to the proper managers.

• Completes routine surveillance of the gaming floor identifying potential problems, such as poor game protection, suspicious individuals and acting as a support unit to other departments in relation to the protection of company assets
• Strictly adheres to the compliance of all policies and procedures to the departmental or internal control manual
• Maintains accurate logs of all procedure violations or completes reviews of all material that is pertinent to site operations
• Promotes and maintains the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, employees and AGLC personnel
• Provides evidence in legal matters that have resulted from criminal charges against patrons or employees
• Maintains awareness of gaming operation at all times and complies with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets
• Additional duties, which are consistent with the position summary, may be assigned

Requirements

• 1-2 years demonstrated security/surveillance experience
• Knowledge of surveillance equipment and cheating/advantage play a definite asset
• Communicates verbally to managers and security team much of the time and it must be clear and concise
• Excellent reading and writing skills for reporting and documentation purposes
• Has the dexterity to maneuver electronic surveillance equipment smoothly using a mouse or joystick
• The proper candidate will have much patience, enjoys thorough documentation and will be able to concentrate for long periods of time
• Possesses detailed knowledge of casino table games, slots, poker policies, cash/slot cage and count room policies/procedures
• The candidate must be able to hold a registered gaming worker license from AGLC
